Minimal rust, clean interior, top trim with the optional mags. For $2500? I haven’t seen a Sub this clean for that price in the Chicago area in twenty years, maybe more.

That looks just like my old one! (with a few little differences, but it IS the same colors, inside and out)
I’m totally saving those pics, since I never took any of my ol’ ’burban.

Mmmm... Squareburb. It’s nearly impossible to find one that’s not rusted to pieces in the Midwest. Fortunately, they’re all around me in minty shape. Unfortunately, my wife has forbidden me from owning one... :(

My old one was a fully loaded Brown and Tan 86. I still don’t understand why I ever sold it.

Mine was actually my first car. I got my license in it and was convinced that it was the only car I’d ever need. I especially liked being able to take the third row out, fold down the second row, and use it like a pickup truck. In that configuration, it would even hold full 4x8 sheets of whatever I needed to haul around. Plus, it had a trailer hitch.
But it burned oil, and I kept topping it off regularly... until I didn’t. One night it stalled going 55, and I coasted for about half a mile, pulling into the parking lot of -of all things- a parts store. Even before putting a wrench on it, I knew that it was seized. It had been a while since I last checked the oil... I still haven’t forgiven myself for that.

Nice price - almost too nice of a price even. If I didn’t already have an extra truck I’d be calling this guy. ..

Holy mother of wants!!!

It’s got to have like a million miles on it for that price.

Something is definitely wrong at that price, especially since it was posted 18 days ago. If it was as good as it looked, it would be gone already.

we had an 89 in 2 tone black and gray, I loved that dash but man alive that thing was a handful on the highway.

My last one had a 2" lift, 33s and a questionable Pep Boys alignment. It was a nightmare to drive over 30-35 mph. It sure was nice to look at though.

We’ll see. I forwarded that ad to my Dad to see if it was still available. He’s only 15 minutes from there.
I think it’s been sold for a while.

That could well be. Keep us posted.

If it wasn’t four hours away, maybe it
could
be...

Wow. That is not a car I could bring myself to
notice
, let alone want. Or I might notice it and think,
Damn, I sure wouldn’t want that car...

It was sold before I saw it. Craigslisters have no honor. Nobody seems to care anymore.

Probably sold to a Nigerian prince.

Squarebody Chevys are my favorite. I’m surprised a guy who drives a Safari is so meh on them.

I really don’t see them as comparable much at all. The Safari is significantly more utile and is likely more efficient. That Suburban is a giant, heavy behemoth of a vehicle. But I’m okay with you liking it. ;o)
